T-Mobile Releases the Samsung Beat Music Phone

T-Mobile has officially released its anticipated Samsung Beat music phone. Also referred to as the t539, the flip design's outer shell brings a relatively large number of dedicated music controls including a full stop button (rather than just pause) and a repeat mode. Its green ring is also more than just a cosmetic light, T-Mobile adds: the shape conceals a built-in speaker that provides relatively strong audio without the need for headphones.
Music is stored either on the 40MB of internal memory or a microSD card; in T-Mobile form, the Beat ships with a 1GB card preloaded with songs from Anisha Nicole and Natalie Williams. The clamshell serves up additional media with a 1.3-megapixel camera and Bluetooth for hands-free calling and music. T-Mobile has not yet released its price for the Beat but will likely price it at the lower end of the spectrum once the phone is available today through the carrier's website and retail shops.
