Samsung Launches Music Phones for Europe

Samsung is sending a tri-band GSM version of Verizon Wireless’s recently announced Samsung U470 Juke to our friends across the Atlantic as the Samsung SGH-F210. With 1GB of onboard storage and microSD expansion options, the swiveling Samsung F210 will be bringing 20 hours of audio playback to music-loving Europeans.

The €260 (about $370) Samsung SGH-F330 rocks music controls of the schizophrenic younger sibling F300 UpStage, but kicks it up a notch with a 3.6Mbps HSDPA radio, 2 megapixel camera, and microSD expansion in a 13.5mm-thick slider. Oh, and it’ll pack a tri-band GSM radio as well. And, to round out the bunch, Samsung is about to drop the €360 (about $510) Samsung SGH-i450 musicphone with an N95-esque dual-sliding design. The tri-band Samsung i450 slider is both an S60 smartphone and incredibly capable music player in a dual-sliding package.

Slide the screen up and you’ve got an S60 smartphone with 3.6Mbps HSDPA. Slide the screen down and you’ll reveal the slick Touch Wheel Music Navigation wheel that helps you find your way through your music collection or FM radio stations - and plays audio through the metallic speakers, stereo Bluetooth, or 3.5mm headphones. Oh, and the Samsung i450 even sports a Bang & Olufsen ICEpower audio amplifier to make sure you get some seriously high-quality audio. Unfortunately, this music phone only comes with 35MB of onboard storage, but can hold up to 4GB microSD cards.
